Note: A quick reference card for Insomnia Screening and Treatment in HIV-infected Patients is now available. The reference card is designed to help raise clinical awareness for assessment and identification of insomnia in HIV-infected patients due to the potentially negative effects of insomnia on health, including HIV disease progression. The card was produced by the Office of the Medical Director, New York State Department of Health AIDS Institute and developed by the Institute's Mental Health Committee, chaired by Milton Wainberg, MD.

On Wednesday, April 20th from 9:00am - 3:00pm in Bangor, Maine, and on Thursday, April 21st from 9:00am - 4:00pm in Sturbridge, the New England AETC will host this program focused upon caring for Native American clients with HIV.

dotHIV/AIDS Patient Care in the Nursing Home Setting
On Tuesday, April 26th from 6:00pm - 9:00pm the New England AETC will host this program at the Courtyard Marriott in Natick, MA. Topics will include the impact of HIV/AIDS as a chronic illness on the long-term care industry, and strategies to promote evidence-based HIV clinical care in the LTC facility.

dotWebconference: On Your Mark, Get Set, Go! Measuring Clinical Performance

Note: On Thursday, April 14th from 3:00-4:00pm EST, the National Quality Center (NQC) will hold this free national Technical Assistance (TA) webconference. This will be facilitated by AIDS Institute consultant Jesse Ungard, and feature grantee examples from the field. A learning objective of the call is for participants to develop clinical and non-clinical performance indicators and data collection strategies.
