Note: These slides were developed using the Pediatric Antiretroviral Guidelines that were updated in August 2010. The intended audience is clinicians involved in the care of patients with HIV infection. This presentation includes topics such as hematologic effects, hepatic events, dyslipidemia, and dermatological effects.
Note: The AETC Network News highlights best practices from AETCs across the United States. This edition features Jason Tokumoto, MD, from the National HIV/AIDS Clinical Consultation Center (NCCC), the New York/New Jersey AETC's manual, "HIV Testing in the Dental Chair", the Florida/Caribbean AETC on the AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) Crisis, and two new national AETC centers.
Note: This report highlights the legal environment for HIV testing, implementing HIV testing in health care settings, reimbursement, barriers to HIV testing and evaluation. Data collected through this survey updates those collected through a similar survey in 2007. Findings will help identify priority areas for technical assistance and strategies for health departments to further support implementation of HIV screening efforts and will inform priorities for advocacy and education among key stakeholders and partners.
Note: On August 24th, 2010, David H. Spach received this grantee honor award. David H. Spach is an inspiration and driving force in HIV/AIDS education and training of health care providers--to those in his five state Northwest AIDS Education and Training Centers (AETC) region and across the country.
